Instruction Conversion

If you convert the logic program created in GP-PRO/PB3 C-Package with the Project Converter, the setting contents of the logic program may be changed depending on the combinations of variable types which are assigned on instructions. However, if the setting contents of the logic program are changed, the logic program will perform as well as before conversion.

There are 5 typical change patterns of logic program. These change patterns by using "Transfer Instruction" when conversion are as follows.

Pattern A: Add an instruction to match the variable type
GP-Pro EX doesn't allow different types of variables to be assigned to an instruction. If the variable types assigned to an instruction are different, a conversion instruction to match the variable types before conversion is added.

Pattern B: Add an instruction to match the bit length
GP-Pro EX doesn't allow variables with different bit length to be assigned to an instruction. If the bit lengths of variables assigned to an instruction are different, a conversion instruction to match the bit lengths before conversion is added.

Pattern C: Replace with another instruction
An instruction may be replaced with another instruction after conversion.

Pattern D: Change setting contents of an instruction
The setting contents of an instruction may be changed after conversion.

Pattern E: Change a variable name
GP-Pro EX doesn't allow you to change device names. If the Fix Variable Mode was set, device names are changed to the ones which have been defined beforehand.

For the details of the conversion pattern of each instruction, refer to the Instruction Conversion List.
