 FAQ

What kinds of data can be saved in the backup memory?

Alarm history data, sampling data, internal device backup, filing data, and the Japanese FEP function can be saved in the backup memory.

Backup memory has the following usage priorities.
1. Alarm History Data
2. Sampling Data
3. Internal Device Backup
4. Filing Data
5. Japanese FEP Feature

NOTE
* IPC does not have the backup memory such as SRAM. The data, which should be saved in SRAM, are saved in the memory (DRAM) of IPC temporarily and backed up in the specified folder with the file name "Backup.dat" when finishing Win GP. The saved file will be read when starting the WinGP the next time.

The file is stored in NAND\PRJ001\USER\SCREEN, which is in the destination folder, by default.

IMPORTANT
* If you turn OFF the IPC without shutting down the OS, the backup file for exiting WinGP cannot be saved and the record will be from the last save.
*

If the destination file of backup memory is set to the folder in C drive when the OS has settings with Write Protect for the system drive (C Drive) on Windows XP Embedded, the file will not be created and the backup feature will be invalid.
When you use, please set the folder on C Drive, which is not write-protected.
