 FAQ

  What is the RPA feature?

RPA, which stands for Remote PC Access, is used to display server computer data on the display unit using UltraVNC (*1).
With the Remote PC Access Display, you can view Excel and PDF documents from the server computer on the display unit. You can also manipulate the mouse or keyboard on the server from the display unit. RPA is well-suited for computer maintenance and for viewing documents saved on the server computer.

*1: VNC, which stands for Virtual Network Computing, is software to control another computer connected to a network. Distributed as free software (developed by AT&T).

IMPORTANT
- Before using the RPA feature, purchase an RPA key code (model: EX-RPA) and provide the key code for each display unit using RPA.
- The key code can't be reissued if you lose it. Please keep it at hand.
- For the information on how to enter a key code, see GP-Pro EX Reference Manual - [Enter the key code].
- You can use the RPA feature when the GP is connected to the computer via a LAN port.
- To use the RPA feature, you need to first install UltraVNC on the server computer.
For more details, see "About VNC Server".
NOTE
For the models that support the RPA feature, see GP-Pro EX Reference Manual - [Supported Features].
