  Unable to transfer screens.
  Error Display.

GLC not responding.

1. Check that the GLC power supply isn’t turned OFF.
2. Check that GLC isn’t in the offline mode. If it’s in offline mode, reset it to transfer mode.
3. Check the connection of the transfer cable.
Is the transfer cable firmly connected to the tool connector on the GLC and to the serial port on the PC?
4. Check the setting of the serial port on the PC.
Isn’t the setting for using the serial port as a modem or infrared rays?
5. Even after checking all above, when the error cannot be avoided, execute Forced Setup.
Open [Setup] on the menu bar of the transfer screen and change the setup method to [Forced Setup]. Then transfer data again.
6. When you use a conversion connector because the used PC is NECPC-9801 note and then the serial port has half pitch 14 pins, cable wiring might be incorrect.
7. Check that the used PC is a NECPC-9801 note and also check that a power-saving mode isn’t set.
In the system setting of PC, turn OFF the power-saving mode.
8. In the case that the PC is a DOS/V machine, if you use a conversion connector because the serial port has 9 pins, check that the cable diagram is as follows.

There’s no Upload Information on GLC. (When receiving data from GLC).

1. Check that the data on GLC isn’t the screen transferred from GP-PRO/PB3 (DOS edition).
Data from GP-PRO/PB3(DOS edition) cannot be received via GP-PRO/PB3 for Windows95 drawing software. In order to receive the data, use a DOS transfer tool of GP-PRO/PB3 for Windows95 or GP-PRO/PB3 (DOS edition) drawing software is required.
2. Although the data in the GLC is GP-PRO/PB3 for Windows95 edition, an error occurs.
Since data required for RECEIVE doesn’t exist in GLC, the screen cannot be received. At the time of transfer, [Upload information setting] in [Setup] might have been unchecked and then the screen might have been sent. Unless a screen is sent with upload information, the screen cannot be received.

PGO Command failed.
An error occurred in sending data from PC because of an error such as the cable was unplugged or damaged, or the GLC power supply turned off.
Reset the GLC and the PC and then retry data transfer.

PLD Command failed.
An error occurred in sending data from PC because of an error such as the cable was unplugged or damaged, or the GLC power supply turned off.
Reset the GLC and the PC and then retry data transfer.

SIO Error.
Unable to open a com port.
The COM port cannot be used. Check the setting of the serial port.
In [Serial Port Settings] of the transfer setting menu, does the selected port match the serial port to which the transfer cable is actually connected? Specify the available serial port, and retry data transfer.

Write Error.
An error occurred in writing data to the memory in GLC.
Transfer the data once again. If an error occurs again, execute Self Diagnosis of GLC and check the problems. Then contact the local distributor where you purchased the product or Digital.

Cannot open a screen.
The system is trying to transfer the screen to the GLC, but cannot open the screen in the Project File.
Data might be damaged because of different causes.
Go to Windows(R)95, [Start]->[Program]->[Propb3win] and select [Rebuild]. Then execute Rebuild at first and then transfer the data once again.

Core ID Command failed.
An error has occurred during data transfer from the PC because of an error such as the cable may be disconnected, or the power of GLC is off. Retry data transfer.

Command Parameter Error.
Retry data transfer to the designated GLC using “Auto Setup”. If this message appears again, the PC has a command-related problem. Or, there may be an error in the cable or in the PC. Check both and retry data transfer. If the problem persists, the cable may be damaged. If necessary, contact your local GLC distributor.

Communication Port is invalid.
Check the setting of the serial port.
Does the port selected in [Serial port setting], Transfer’s menu [Setup (S)] match the serial port to which the transfer cable is actually connected?

This message is also displayed when the COM port is used for another application. Also it’s displayed when an application using the COM port is working and when you keep DOS Window open after an application using the COM port operates in DOS Window.

The address as the symbol cannot be found.
Though symbols are used for address settings of tags, parts, etc, real addresses as symbols might not be registered via Symbol Editor.
Check that the addresses have been registered on [Symbol Editor (E)] of [Utility (U)] on Project Manager.

The Setting File is Not found.
There’s no file required for setup in the designated directory.

1. Check that the directory designated in [Setup CFG File] of [Setup], [Setup (S)] of Transfer Screen is the directory at the destination where drawing software is installed.
2. Install software correctly from a master disk once again. Or check the pass setting of Setup Option of Transfer.

Timeout.
A communication timeout has occurred. After resetting the GLC, transfer the data once again.

Incomplete Transmission.
Screen transfer to the GLC has been aborted. Please refer to the error message displayed with this error message.

Cannot transfer data.
A communication error has occurred because of some errors and Transfer has failed. Reset the GLC and the PC and retry data transfer.
Try Forced Setup.

Open [Setup] of the menu bar of the transfer screen and change the setup method to [Forced Setup (F)]. Then transfer the data.

Memory Not Initialized.
The GLC internal memory is not initialized. Initialize it.
Go to the offline mode in GLC and execute [Initialize Memory]. (the common password is 1101.)

Insufficient memory.
Memory in GLC is full. Delete unnecessary screens.
When you check the volume of the currently being-created data to send to GLC, after executing [Prepare (P)] in Transfer, select [Project Information (I)] from [Project (P)] on the menu bar of Project Manager and refer to [Total screen size sent to GLC].

Protocol file not found.
The PLC protocol file to be sent to GLC is not found in the directory defined in the system. Re-install the GLC’s system starting from the master disk.

Do you want to download the simulation protocol?
Displayed when transferring the simulation protocol.

To perform Simulation between the GLC and the PC, click OK.
To make normal communications between the GLC and the HOST, click cancel. Then uncheck the check box of [Simulation] of [Setup] of Transfer and retry data transfer.

Transfer Port Initialization error.

1. Initialization of the communication port has failed. Check the serial port settings.
Does the port selected in [Serial Port Setting] of [Setup] of Transfer match the serial port to which the transfer cable is actually connected?
2. Check the transfer cable connection.
Is it firmly connected to the tool connector on the GLC side and to the serial port on the PC side?
3. When you use a conversion connector because the PC used is a NECPC-9801 notebook and then the serial port has half pitch 14 pins, cable wiring might be incorrect.

File Error.
  Bad File Data

Check that the disk to save data in has sufficient free space and it is not corrupt.
Or the data may get damaged.
Go to Windows(R)95, [Start]->[Program]->[Propb3win] and select [Rebuild]. Then execute Rebuild at first and then transfer the data once again.
