 About the Structure

Devices to be Used
Pro-Sever EX consists of the Devices as follows.

PC
Used to read/write the data of GPs and Device/PLCs network (Ethernet) after "Pro-Server EX" and "Pro-Studio EX" are installed therein.
LAN Hub
Used to connect all the devices together via Ethernet.
GP
A combination of operation panels and display units that have been provides separately for machines and equipments.
HE GP has features of displaying charactors information, graphics informations etc. and entering data from touch keys.
Device/PLC
Used to chapture data and perform control. the Device P LC includes a PLC, thermostat. inverter, etc.
Input Device
An externally connected device such as a senser and a switch that perform measurement, counting, etc.

Software to be Used
Pro-Server EX consists of the Software as follows.

Pro-Studio EX
System designing software to be used developing a data managements system.
Pro-Server EX
A data relay deriver for operating data managements system.

How to Transfer the Data
The data managemant system using "Pro-Server EX" uses the following features to read/write data from/to application software such as "Microsoft® Excel®".
Depending on the ACTION to be executed, an appropriate feature is used.
DDE
A system to support exchange of data between two applications suning simultaneously on Windows. Dynamic Data Exchange.
API
A series of functions used for relaying "Pro-Server EX" and applicatons programs. Using API can excgange data vias user application program, created in VB (Visual Basic®) and VC (Visual C++®)" format. Application Programming Interface.
ACTION
A system preinstalled in "Pro-Server EX" to cxchange data. The ACTION includes data exchange with an applicatuion program, acccess to a transmission server when sending e-mails.
