 Is it possible to output the signal of the CPU malfunction as the Alarm Output?

There is the Alarm Output at the back of GLC/LT. This is a Hardware’s no-voltage contact of CPU malfunction. If this contact turns OFF, the currently running program cannot be guaranteed.
 
Therefore, there would be no problem with alarm such as CPU malfunction, but it is impossible to use with simple alarm signal.
