 When Using PE4000B Series

Communication Format and Flow Control

When using the PE-4000B, set up the communication format and flow control in the unit's BIOS settings. (The communication format and flow control settings defined in GP-Pro EX will be ignored.)
In the BIOS, from the [Advanced] menu's [SCH3106 Second Super IO Configuration], configure [SIO2 COM* Mode] (the asterisk * represents a number 3 to 6) and [Auto Flow Control] to match your communication format.

*1 When using RS-422/485 (4-wire) with any of the following drivers, you need to set Auto Flow Control to Disable.

  • Keyence KV Series CPU Direct

  • Set up the timeout, retries, and send wait time in GP-Pro EX.
  • When connecting the PE4000B series to external devices, the communication settings differ from one device to the next. For details about your device/PLC, please refer to its associated manual.
