[Caution: Back up project
data before upgrading]
When Projects created in the current version of Pro-Designer are opened after
an update has been installed, the project data is also updated and therefore
cannot be re-opened in the version it was created in.
Before installing the update, use the File menu's "Export Project"
option to back up the project's latest data for future use with the current version.
Confirm your software version using the following steps:

Update Procedure
The update procedure varies depending on the target machine type.
Perform the following procedure to update your Pro-Designer and Runtime to Ver.

| <In the case of PC/AT (Pro-Designer
and Runtime are in the same PC) > |
| 1. |
Save the above file to the PC. |
2.

Start the saved file (ProDesignerV403.exe). |
| 3. |
Transfer (download) the project file (your drawing
data) to the same PC (local). |

| <In
the case of PC/AT (Pro-Designer and Runtime are in different
PCs) > |
| 1. |
Save the above file to each PC. |
2.

Start the saved file (ProDesignerV403.exe) on each
PC. |
| 3. |
Transfer (download) the project file (your drawing
data) to the PC Runtime is in. |

the case of GP Series and PS-G Series (using serial/Ethernet
connection) > |
| 1. |
Save the above file to the PC the project file
(your drawing data) was created on. |
| 2. |
Start the saved file (ProDesignerV403.exe). |
| 3. |
Start the Runtime Installer ([Start]-->[Program]-->[Pro-face]-->[Pro-Series]-->[Tools]-->[Runtime
Installer]) to transfer (install) Runtime Ver. 4.0.3 into the
target machine. |

Transfer (download) the project file (your drawing
data) to the target machine. |

the case of GP Series and PS-G Series (using file system) > |
| 1. |
Save the above file to the PC the project file
(your drawing data) was created on. |
| 2. |
Start the saved file (ProDesignerV403.exe). |
| 3. |
Transfer (download) Runtime and the project file
(your drawing data) to the CF card (file system). |
| 4. |
Insert the CF card into the target machine to start
Runtime. |

Opening the file: (This
is a self-extracting file.)
Prior to installing the update module, close all your personal computer applications,
including any resident program such as a virus detection program, etc. |

Click on the above File Name to download data to
the folder you wish to use. |

After the download is finished, double-click on
the file to open it. |
| 3. |
Follow the Installer's instructions to install
the update file. |

| Notes about Installation |
After installing this update module, your
software version will be 4.0.3.
Please see the above "readme.txt" file about the Ver. 4.0.3 update
information because even if your software is updated, Ver. 4.0.3's "readme.txt" file
will not be installed. |
