T.3.4 Screen is black/initial screen is not displayed

Is the status LED light flashing green? Breathing LED?

Cause

For cases in which the standby mode settings are performed, there is a possibility that it is set in the standby mode (screen OFF).

Solution

Please touch the screen only once. For cases in which the screen is not displayed even when touched, verify the following system data area.

For the standby mode settings, refer to the following.
M.2.5 Turning OFF the screen after a certain period of time (standby mode)
With the SP5000 (excluding eXtreme Display) or GP4000 series (excluding the GP-4100 series, GP-4201TM, and GP-4301TM), when not in standby mode (Screen OFF), or when in the following conditions, the status LED shows a breathing LED.
When the system data area [Screen Display ON/OFF] is "FFFFh"
When the system data area [Control] bit 0 is turned ON.

Is "FFFFh" written in the system data area [Screen Display ON/OFF] address?

Cause

When "FFFFh" is stored in the [Screen Display ON/OFF] address, the screen display is turned OFF.

Solution

Store "Oh" in the [Screen Display ON/OFF] address. For more information regarding the System Data Area settings, refer to the following.

When the system data area [Control] address bit 0 is turned ON.

Cause

When bit 0 of the [Control] address is turned O, the backlight is turned off.

Solution

Turn OFF the [Control] address bit 0. For more information regarding the System Data Area settings, refer to the following.

Is the status LED light flashing orange?

Cause

For models that support a backlight burnout detection function, backlight burnout is detected.

For models that support backlight burnout detection, please refer to the following.

Solution

Replace the backlight. If there is no improvement after replacement, contact customer support.

Moreover, when the status LED is turned on in orange soon after purchase, there is a possibility that the display unit is out of order. Please contact customer support.

T.10.2 Telephone Contact

The backlight burnout detection function monitors the current consumed by the display unit. Depending on the failure type of the backlight, burnout may not be detected, or may be detected earlier than complete burnout.

Does the status LED alternate red and green? (for SP5000 series)

Cause

A connection failure may have occurred with the box module and the display module.

Solution

Turn off the power and reconnect the box module and the display module. If it does not improve even if the power was turned on again, there is a possibility that it not working. Please contact customer support.

Is the status LED showing something other than the breathing LED status? (For SP5000 Series GP4000 Series)

Cause

On SP5000 series (excluding eXtreme Display) and GP4000 series (excluding GP-4100 series, GP-4201TM, and GP-4301TM), if the status LED is off or if the screen does not display and the status LED shows any status except the breathing LED, this indicates that the backlight may be burned out.

Solution

Please contact customer support.

Is the status LED turned OFF?

Cause

The power supply voltage to the display unit is low.

Solution

Measure the power voltage of each display unit and set it according to the "Rated Voltage Range" specified in the manual or the hardware manual. If it does not improve even if it is set within the range, there is a possibility that it is out of order. Please contact customer support.

Are errors displayed?

Cause

When the error message "RAAA005 The specified initial screen number does not exist" is displayed, the initial screen number (initial screen) displayed when turning on the power may be incorrect.

Solution

Confirm the setting of the initial screen number. Refer to the following for the setting change method.
