The connection system of GP2000/77R series

The connection system after the replacement to GP3000 series

The connection system of GP3000 series and GP2000/77R series are same, so it is possible to replace into GP3000 series directly. About Communication setting, refer to device connection manual.

Important notes for the replacement of the cable from GP2000/77R series to GP3000 series *Be sure to read here.
Supported devices
- For GP-Pro EX, the notation of addresses and the the setting of node No. differ as below.
-The notation of addresses
GP-Pro/PB3
GP-Pro EX
AB SLC 5/05 Ethernet driver
N7:000_1
N7:000
AB ControlLogix Ethernet/IP driver

* GP-PRO/PB3- Regist Node No. and IP address of PLC at [GP setup]. Then when you set the address of PLC, add Node No. to PLC address.

* GP-Pro EX - Regist only IP address of PLC at [Individual Devise Settings]. When you set the address of PLC , select PLC No. (ex : [PLC1]) and input a address.

-Example: In the case of SLC500 series

- For SLC500,Input file and output file is supported.

Warning message of [Project converter]
- When the project file of GP-PRO/PB3 will be converted by [Project converter], these messages will show in following cases.
Warning message
Detail
The configuration of "(My) Port No." is set to "Auto"
- If the project file of GP-PRO/PB3 is converted, the setting of "(My) Port No." will be changed to "Auto". "Auto" means that GP communicates PLC using a blank port of the network. So even if [Project converter] changes the setting of "Destination IP Port No." from port No of GP-PRO/PB3 to "Auto", you can communicate PLC with no problem. You don't have to change any settings of PLC file.
- If you want to use the port No, of GP-PRO/PB3, turn the checkbox of "Auto" off and input port No. of GP-PRO/PB3 again at GP-Pro EX.

Storing Order of Data

With GP-PRO/PBIII, there were 2 storing orders of 32-bit data, L/H and H/L. However, with GP-Pro EX, the storing order of 32-bit data is unified to L/H order.
