2.5.3 Using Projects from GP-Pro/PB III for Windows

The following describes the steps to convert GP-PRO/PBIII for Windows project files (*.prw) into GP-Pro EX project files.

1. Check compatibility	4.1 Compatibility with Pro-face Software
2. Install GP-Pro EX	See the installation DVD-ROM's Readme.txt.
3. Start the Project Converter tool and convert your project	4.2 Project Converter - Using
4. Start GP-Pro EX and open the converted project	3.3 Working with Projects - Open / Edit Screen / Save
5. Confirm the device/PLC communication settings	Confirm and set up the device/PLC communication environment. See the "GP-Pro EX Device/PLC Connection Manual" and the following. 2.4 Device/PLC Communication 7.1 Settings Menu
6. Edit and save the project	If required, edit screens, add screens, and delete screens. Upon saving, checks the project for errors. 3.3 Working with Projects - Open / Edit Screen / Save To convert addresses and labels all at once, refer to the following. 42. Other Convenient Functions
7. Test Projects	Confirm if there are any problems on your computer before you transfer. 33.1 Settings Menu
8. Transfer project to the display unit	Power up the display unit and transfer the screens. 34.1 Settings Menu
9. Connect the display unit and device/PLC	See "GP-Pro EX Device Connection Manual".
