Note:

  • Install this utility in the case of the following.
  • When customers who use the type without a preinstalled OS, want to install the OS as shown in the table below
  • When customers who use the one shown in "Applicable Version" below, want to update the version
  • It is unnecessary to install this utility when customers use the type with a preinstalled OS other than the one shown in "type with a preinstalled OS" below.
  • After installing this utility once, it is not possible to uninstall.
  • Unable to operate with only the Utility.
    Be sure to install System Monitor provided by another Installer.
  • To use these installers, the Enhanced Write Filter (hereafter described as "EWF") must be set to "Protect OFF".
    After having set it to "Protect OFF" using EWFSettingTool, please restart your system before installing.

After installing this, you can use the following tools.
  • Backlight Brightness Control Application
  • Backlight Control Screen Saver
  • Backlight Control Console Application

The following issue was corrected.
  • On return from screensaver, the backlight does not turn on in some cases.
Applicable Version When customers use the following product, update is required.

* With the Box type (PL-3000B), the backlight tools will not function on it although utility programs can be upgraded.

Installation (This file is self-extracting.)

  1. Click "PL3000_Utility_03182009.exe " and download it to the appropriate folder.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file. (Any extraction destination will do.)
  3. When [OK] is clicked, the file is extracted. (If the same name file has already existed, it is overwritten.)
  4. Double-click the "PL3000_Utility_03182009.exe " file that is extracted in Step 2 above to start the install.
  5. Complete the install by following the messages on the window.
  6. Restart the panel computer.
