Brief

Pro-face, the global leader in Human Machine Interface (HMI) and factory data communication solutions, has announced the January 20, 2014 release of EZ Numpad, the newest product in the EZ Series of USB devices for Pro-face’s HMIs.

EZ Numpad is an alphanumeric keypad. Recent years have seen a major shift toward touch screen operation via display units in manufacturing plants, yet there is an increasing need for the assuring feel of a click and quick, accurate numerical entry that hardware switches and other buttons have always provided. EZ Numpad features the same 22-millimeter holes used to install hardware switches and lamps used on production work sites, and it also offers a simple USB connection. EZ Numpad is a convenient solution to the problem of touch screen operability.

Installing EZ Numpad eliminates the need for software keys to display numbers and letters on touch screens. This allows for the display of more information, which helps reduce the number of screens to create and time spent creating them for production equipment that requires frequent setting changes. EZ Numpad is easy to configure with software settings without any special programming.

Based on our corporate slogan, Pro-face for the best interface, Pro-face aims to develop products that act as the best interface and can be connected to industrial machinery in a variety of production worksites.
