Osaka, Japan — July 26th, 2013 - Proface, the global leader of Human Machine Interface (HMI), and factory data communication solutions, announces the release of the LT4000M Series, a modular controller with operator interface, on July 29, 2013.

The LT4000M Series is a controller with operator interface that integrates display and control functions. It is installable on standard 22-mm round holes - the same as switches and indicator lights at production sites.

Conventionally, installation of a programmable HMI device on a control panel required machining using a specialized tool according to the size of each HMI device. However, the LT4000M Series supports standard 22-mm round holes - the same on which switches and indicator lights are mounted. Typical drills found at production sites can be used to drill the holes into the panel, saving on the cost and time for installation. Compared to our previous model (LT3000 Series 5.7”), the LT4000M Series accomplished a 17% reduction in thickness and a 43% reduction in volume, saving installation space on the control panel. Using the dedicated separation cable enables further installation space-saving on the control panel, which increases the options for installation location, such as a place easier for people to operate.

The LT4000M Series was developed to answer the need for installation in smaller systems and for saving space in production systems at production sites for applications such as packaging, food processing, and transportation.
