Brief

Pro-face, the global leader of Human Machine Interface (HMI) and factory data communication solutions, announced that Pro-face Remote HMI, production site remote monitoring software for smartphones and tablets, will be launched in mid-February of 2013.

Pro-face Remote HMI is software for monitoring and operating HMI screens at production sites from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android OS smartphone or Android OS tablet. It will be available for download from application distribution sites (App Store or Google Play).

By using Pro-face Remote HMI, you can communicate with any HMI in the factory at any time via wireless LAN. This software makes it possible to streamline tasks by reducing the number of workers on extensive equipment for which multiple workers were traditionally needed, enabling you to check errors from a remote location prior to arriving at the location at which the error occurred, enabling you to check the status of multiple systems by switching between displays on your smartphone or tablet, and so on.

Pro-face Remote HMI can communicate with a Pro-face GP4000 series HMI that has been configured using HMI Screen Editor & Logic Programming Software GP-Pro EX Ver. 3.1 or later.

Features

  1. Enables you to monitor on-site HMI screens on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android OS smartphone or Android OS tablet.
  2. Supported iOS: iOS V5.1 or later, V6.0 or later
  3. Supported Android OS: Android OS V2.3x, V3.0x, or V4.0x
  4. Up to 100 HMI units can be registered
  5. Two modes, synchronous mode for displaying the on-site HMI screen as-is and asynchronous mode for displaying a different screen, are available
  6. Touch operation seizure for several seconds on the HMI side and smartphone/tablet side in order to prevent unintended operations
