You can transfer filing data between the display unit's backup SRAM and connected devices.
(1) Prepare to transfer
Depending on the screen transfer method, filing data
created in GP-Pro EX is stored in the display unit's internal memory (Screen
Area*1),
or on external storage (such as CF card or USB storage*2).
In order to transfer data to the PLC, you need to first write data to backup
SRAM.

(2) Transfer filing data
You can transfer filing data from backup SRAM to a
connected device, or from a connected device to backup SRAM.
There are two transfer methods: Automatic transfer and Manual transfer.
Automatic transfer |
Set the control address and transfers data when the PLC trigger bit turns ON.
|
Manual transfer |
Place a Special Data Display [Filing] on the screen, select the data (block) to transfer, and touch the transfer switch. Data then transfers.

(3) Transfer filing data via internal device
You cannot edit backup SRAM filing data directly from the display unit.By storing the data to an internal device, you can use a display part to edit the data from a display unit screen.

(4) Save to external storage
Data stored in backup SRAM can be saved to external
storage.
To set this option, from the System Settings, select [Display Unit], select
the [Action] tab, then select [Data Storage].

*1 Memory where the screen data is stored.Filing data is stored in memory via a screen transfer.
*2 You cannot transfer data in the USB Storage Destination Folder on a computer to the USB storage device inserted in the display unit.Copy data in the computer folder to the USB storage device, and then connect the USB storage device to the display unit.
When using GP4100, filing data is saved in the internal user memory of the display unit instead of the backup SRAM.Be careful of the following.
Do not turn the display unit's
power OFF while transferring data from the internal memory to the internal
user memory.
The display may not display updated data correctly or the display unit
may be damaged.
Before turning OFF the display unit's power, confirm the transfer status
by checking the [Write Completion Bit Address] set in the [Transfer Filing
Data (Mode)].
Do
not change to offline mode while transferring data from a device/PLC to
the display unit.
It may go back to the previous data.
