The following are precautions for GP-Pro EX Ver.5.00 or later.
GP-Pro EX License Types
The GP-Pro EX license types have changed.

Trial
A trial version that can be used for 10 days only. You can use all models supported by GP-Pro EX but you cannot transfer project files.

Free
There is no need to purchase a license. Project files created with the Free license can be used with the following models.

ET6000 Series

GP-4100 Series (Color Model)

You can open the project files configured with other models but you cannot save them.

Full
A license is required. You can use all models supported by GP-Pro EX.
Change in Activation Method for GP-Pro EX / WinGP Licenses
The activation method for GP-Pro EX and WinGP Licenses has changed. Use the license authentication software (HMI License Manager) to activate licenses.

WinGP also supports license authentication using the conventional Key Code.

The license authentication software (HMI License Manager) is installed together with GP-Pro EX or WinGP when they are installed.

End of Support - Models
The following models are no longer supported in Ver.5.00 or later.

Using Ver.5.00 or later, although you can open the project files set with models that are no longer supported, you cannot transfer to those models. Please change to a supported model.
End of Support - Software
The following software is no longer supported in Ver.5.00 or later. They are no longer provided in the GP-Pro EX installer.

Project File Compatibility
The project files created or edited in Ver.5.00 or later cannot be saved as, or converted to, Ver.4.09.600 or earlier. Project files saved in Ver.4.09.600 or earlier can be opened in Ver.5.00 or later, but once a project file is opened and saved in Ver.5.00 or later, it cannot be opened in Ver.4.09.600 or earlier.

We recommend backing up project files created in Ver.4.09.600 or earlier before opening them in Ver.5.00 or later.
Project Converter
The display unit may be converted to a model that is not supported in Ver.5.00 or later. Open the converted project file in the Ver.5.00 or later screen editing software and then change to the desired model.
