1.2 About Installation Software

The following describes the software you can install from the GP-Pro EX DVD-ROM.

• GP-Pro EX
  Screen development software.
  When GP-Pro EX is installed, the Transfer Tool and Version Reverter are automatically installed.
  1.3 Operating Environment

• Transfer Tool
  Tool for downloading projects to the display unit. By installing the Transfer Tool, you can transfer projects to the display unit even if GP-Pro EX is not installed.
  34.11.1 Operating Systems that support Transfer Tool

• Version Reverter
  The Version Reverter is a tool used to convert project files created with GP-Pro EX to files compatible with previous versions. You do not need to have GP-Pro EX installed in order to convert project files.
  When GP-Pro EX or the Transfer Tool is installed, the Version Reverter is also installed.
  3.7 Converting Project Files to Previous Versions

• Pass-Through
  Feature that enables communication between ladder software and the connected PLC/device via the display unit.
  For installation, setting up, or other information about the pass-through function, please see the "GP-Pro EX Device/PLC Connection Manual", section titled "Pass-Through Function Guide".

• WinGP
  WinGP is an application that runs GP-Pro EX projects on Industrial Panel Computers (IPC Series) or PC/AT-compatible machines, and communicates with connected devices/PLCs. Install when using the IPC series or PC/AT compatible machine as a display unit.

• GP-Viewer EX
  Use GP-Viewer EX to display and operate remotely located display screens from your computer. Install to run remote operations on display units on the network.

• Camera-Viewer EX
  Camera-Viewer EX is an application that displays and records the picture from a video camera connected to a display unit.

• Device Data Copy Tool
  Use this tool to upload or download the sequencer program or device register data between the display unit and device/PLC. For installation, setting up, or other information about the Device Data Copy Tool, please see the "Device Data Copy Tool Guide" in the "GP-Pro EX Device/PLC Connection Manual".

• GP Remote Printer Server
  Install when you want to use a network computer as a printer server.

• EZ Fingerprint Recognition Setup Tool
  You can use this tool to register and edit password settings (Level, User ID, Password, Fingerprint). When the Fingerprint Recognition Setup Tool is installed, the Fingerprint Recognition Unit driver is also installed.

• EZ Fingerprint Recognition Unit driver
  Install when using the EZ Fingerprint Recognition Unit with WinGP on the IPC Series or on a PC/AT compatible machine, or when using the EZ Fingerprint Recognition Unit in GP-Pro EX simulation.

• EZ Tower Light Driver
  Install when using EZ Tower Light with IPC Series, PC/AT compatible machines, or SP5000 Series Open Box.

• Pro-face Remote HMI Server
  Pro-face Remote HMI Server is an application for sharing the display unit (server) screen with smart devices and other terminals (clients) on the network. Install Pro-face Remote HMI Server onto the display unit or PC/AT compatible machine you want to use as a server.

• Pro-face Remote HMI Client for Win
  Pro-face Remote HMI Client for Win is an application for remotely operating the display unit (server) screen from Windows terminals (clients) on the network. Install Pro-face Remote HMI Client for Win onto the Windows terminal you want to use as a client.
