T.2.4.4 Can you get the Display Unit's IP Address with PING from the command prompt?

Cause

If you cannot receive the IP address, the GP may not be on the network because the Ethernet cable is not connected or the GP does not recognize the Ethernet cable's connection port.

Solution

Execute the PING command at the command prompt

  1. At the command prompt type "ping 192.168.0.1" (display unit's IP address) and press Enter.

    • For details about the IP address setting, ask your network administrator.

  2. The results of the command execution will be displayed. If there was a response from the display unit, it is on the network. If there was no response, replace the cables or hubs.
