You can edit a CSV file saved in external storage using general spreadsheet software (such as Excel) on a computer.
The sampling data (*.csv) saved in external storage is not the same as the [Display/Save in CSV] settings. A portion of the format is fixed.
Regardless of the settings, the calculation rows will not be output as CSV. Only the Item Name row and data display rows (for specified cycles) will be outputted.
One Date column and one Time column will be displayed in a fixed position. The date is output in the format selected in the [CSV Date Format] list box. The time format is fixed to hh:mm:ss. When the [Sampling Frequency] is set to [100 ms] , the time format is fixed to hh:mm:ss.000.
If the language is set to Japanese, the Date/Time is output in Japanese, otherwise, they are output in English. In Custom Settings, the Item Name row is not set and will appear in the first row. In that case, the data column item name will be blank.
Even if you set a Text row or Text column in the Custom Settings, they will not be outputted in the CSV file.
If [Add Time Data] is not defined as the Action, the Date column and Time column will be blank and only the item name will be displayed.
In Custom Settings, if the Item Name column is not set, the far left is the Date column, the 2nd is the Time column, and the 3rd and other columns are the Data columns. The order of the data columns will follow the order set in the Custom Settings.
In the Custom Settings, [Item Name (Horizontal)] set up in multiple rows is output to the CSV files as one row.
When multiple blocks are set, a space is inserted between blocks.
If you selected [Enable multiple data types] in the [Address] tab (accessible from [Common Settings] - [Sampling]), bit data is saved using the ASCII codes for "ON" and "OFF". Text data is saved using ASCII codes.
If you selected [Enable multiple data types] in the [Address] tab (accessible from [Common Settings] - [Sampling]), calculated values for non-numerical columns will be blank.
Character codes in the CSV file only uses the native code. Use Shift-JIS for Japanese. Western European languages display using CodePage 1252. If you use text that does not exist in CodePage 1252, it will be replaced by a single space.
Please refer to the following for your local character codes.
6.2.4 Supported Character Codes - Stroke Font/Standard Font
When a read error occurs, displays either "****" (asterisk for each display digit) or "----" (hyphen for each display digit). Which display is used depends on the display unit model.
Even if the [Display Color], [Background Color], [Text Color], [Numeral Value Color], or [Blink] color is set, the color will not be output to the CSV file.
