Power for the analog module should be separate from the display unit's power supply and it should be turned on at least 1 second ahead. When turning the LT unit ON, first supply the module with power for 1 second or longer before you turn ON the LT unit. The display unit may not operate correctly if it is restarted too quickly.
When using the analog module (set up with 4 to 20 mA), and signals are less than 4 mA or greater than 20 mA, an abnormal data error message displays. In this scenario, inputs retain their previous values before the error.
Internal communication between the display unit and TM3 module may experience a maximum delay of scan time + 20 milliseconds.
In addition, because the TM3 module (hardware) also has a delay, to calculate the actual delay time for inputs and outputs, also add the TM3 module delay time.
The number of TM3 modules that can be connected
You can connect up to two TM3 Modules to the back of the display unit. However, you cannot connect two 32-point modules such as TM3DI32K, TM3DQ32UK, and TM3DQ32TK to the back of the display unit.
When connecting more TM3 modules than can be connected to the back of the display unit, use the remote transmitter module (TM3XTRA1) and remote receiver module (TM3XREC1). Up to 8 modules (excluding the remote transmitter and receiver modules) can be connected.
Connect the remote transmitter module to the back of the display unit. Up to 2 modules (including the remote transmitter module) can be connected to the back of the display unit.
Up to 7 TM3 modules can be connected to the remote receiver module.
When changing from the STC6000 series to other models
All TM3 driver and TM3 module settings will be deleted.
