Thank you very much for your continuous use of Pro-face products.
When using PS5000 Series on Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry, there’s an initial setting that requires attention.
We take these issues seriously and have created the following measures.

On Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry (WE8.1) on PS5000 Series, system will hibernate automatically after 180 minutes if there is no running application or any operation. While the system is in a hibernation mode, most of the functions such as communications are disabled until the system recovers from the mode.

This symptom appears because the function of moving to the ‘Hibernation’ mode is enabled in the ‘Sleep’ settings of “Power Options”.

You can follow below steps to disable the setting.

< How to change the “Power Options” setting >

1. Open “Control Panel” and click “Hardware and Sound”.
2. Click “Power Options”.
3. Click “Choose when to turn off the display”.
4. Click “Change advanced power settings”.
5. Under “Sleep → Hibernate after”, please change the value to 0, and click OK to finish.
6. After that, the value changes to “Never”.

The initial setting of “Choose when to turn off the display” in “Power Options“ will be improved at the next version upgrade.
