| 1) Touch Panel Specifications |
It is "Analog form " in GP-3400T.
In "Analog form", the touch input will not be recognized even if you touch two points at the same time. Therefore, please do not touch two points at the same time.
If you use two points input with GLC-2400T, we will recommend you to change to one point input in the application by using the delay function of the switch.

| 2) The COM1 and COM2 of Serial Interface |
With GP-3400T, the COM1 is the D-Sub 9-pin male connector, the COM2 is the D-Sub 9-pin female connector.
With GLC-2400T, the COM1 is the D-Sub 25-pin female connector, the COM2 is the D-Sub 9-pin male connector. The pin arrays and the shape of male/female connector are different from GP-3400T.
Therefore, please connect the connection cable to PLC with attention. Please refer here for the compatibility of the PLC connection.

| 3)Printer connection |
GP-3400T does not equip the Centronics (parallel) interface for the printer.
When you use the printer connected by the Centronics interface with GP-3400T, please use it via convertor which converts USB of GP-3400T to Centronics.
It is possible, with GP-3400T, to connect the printer to the USB port or the Ethernet port.

4) Bar-code reader connection
|
GP-3400T does not equip the tool port. Therefore, the bar-cord reader connected from the tool port of GLC-2400T cannot be used. However, the bar-code reader can be connected from the USB interface or the serial interface with GP-3400T.

| 5) The AUX Output |
GP-3400T equips AUX (external output), but the AUX (external output) connector shape is different from GLC-2400T. Please wire the AUX interface with attention when you replace it.

| 6) Sound Line Out Output |
GP-3400T doesn't provide the Line Out output function. When you connect from the Line Out output to amplifier by AUX interface with GLC-2400T, replace the Line Out to the speaker with built-in amplifier by using the speaker output.

| 7) Transfer Screen Data |
With GP-3400T, USB or Ethernet is used to transfer the screen data. Please use the special transfer cable (model: CA3-USBCB-01) for GP3000 Series. Please note that the commercial USB cables cannot be used.
Although the tool port is used to transfer the screen data with GLC-2400T, the model of the transfer cable (*1) for GP2000 Series is different from that of GP-3400T.
The Ethernet transfer can be used as well as before.
*1: GLC-2400T Transfer cable model: GPW-CB02, GPW-CB03, GP430-CU02-M, etc....

| 8) Power Supply |
The power supply of GP-3400T is a screw lock terminal block , but the power supply of GLC-2400T is a terminal block. Therefore, the GLC-2400T power cable cannot be used after you replace to GP-3400T.

| 9) Body material |
The body of GP-3400T is made of aluminum diecasting. GLC-2400T is resinoid. Therefore, the material characteristic and the color are also different.

| 10) Expansion Unit |
|
The expansion bus units (*2) of GP-3400T Series and that of GLC-2400T are different. Therefore, the expansion unit which is used with GLC-2400T can not be used.
*2: We prepare Profi-bus unit (model:CA5-PFSALL/EX-01) for GP3000 series. The other field bus unit is under development now.
*3: VM unit, each Communication unit such as CC-LINK unit, etc....

| 11) Flex Network I/F |
The size of Flex Network of GP-3400T and that of GLC-2400T are different. Therefore, the Flex Network DIO connector which is used with GLC-2400T can not be used.
In case to replace, remove the Flex Network cable from GLC-2400T and replace it to GP-3400T. With GP-3400T, you can set 63 of Connection Stations and 256 points of Bit Input, 256 points of Bit Output, 64 points of Integer Input, and 64 points of Integer Output for I/O points. In case that you have set more than 256 points for Bit Input with GLC-2400T, an error message will be displayed and the data transfer will be failed.
