37.12.2 Procedure - Restricting Access to the Web Server (Security) / User ID Mode

Register user IDs and passwords for each security level, then the security level for each display screen.

  1. From the [Common Settings (R)] menu, point to [Security (Q)] and select [Security Password (P)], or from the toolbar click .

  2. In the Set Password screen, select the [Enable Security Function] and [Add User ID] check boxes. Click [Create] to add one set of passwords. Each click adds one row to the registration area.

  3. Set the security level, user ID, and password for status monitoring and maintenance staff.

    • Each password should be 8 single-byte alphanumeric characters or less.

  4. Next, select the [Set up Functions at Each Security Level] check box and define the security level set in the above procedure 2 for each [Item]. For example, [Read Web Server Data] = Level 1, Write Web Server Data] = Level 15.
