31.7 Controlling External I/O in LT3000 / STC6000 Series and TM3 Module

You can use the TM3 module as a successor to the EX Module. Use only after reviewing the following notes.

• The TM3 module model does not appear in the [I/O Driver] setting screen. In Supported TM3 Module Models, you can check which EX module models are associated with which TM3 models.

• The setup process, error information, and limitations are the same as the EX module. Refer to 31.6 Controlling External I/O in LT3000 / STC6000 Series and EX Modules and replace all instances of “EX module” in the manual with "TM3 module".

• There may be differences in the functions supported by TM3 module and the functions displayed by GP-Pro EX. For functions supported by TM3 module, refer to the TM3 module manual.

• Sometimes the data range is different between the EX module and TM3 module. For example, if you set EXM-ALM3LT to TM3TM3, the TM3TM3 Thermocouple (J type) upper limit is 1000℃, but the upper limit displayed on GP-Pro EX or I/O monitor is the upper limit for EXM-ALM3LT, 1200℃.

Supported TM3 Module Models

* 1 When changing EXM-ARI8LT to TM3TI4, in GP-Pro EX, settings for the 1 unit of EXM-ARI8LT must be changed to 2 units of the 4-channel analog model EXM-AMI4LT.
