38.10.1.2 WinGP Settings - Historical Data Retentive Settings

Save in

Select the save destination for backup data from the following.

On exiting WinGP and on the timing defined by the [Save Condition], data is saved to the [Historical Data Storage Location]. Up to 5 MB of data can be saved.

However, data is not saved if you turn off the display unit*1 without shutting down the operating system. The saved backup data is from the previous save operation. To reliably save the data, run the shutdown operation.

Saves up to the backup memory capacity of the model you are using. Data is saved even if the display unit*1 power is turned OFF without running the operating system shut down operation.

Historical Data Storage Location

Specifies the full path to the location to save backup data (including the drive and folder names). This location replaces the functionality of the backup memory (SRAM). Set up a path up to 255 single-byte characters long.

If you do not specify a path, the destination of the data depends on the drive on which WinGP is installed.
