27.4.1 Procedure - Triggering a Buzzer Sound from the Display Unit

1. In the [Project] menu, click [System Settings] and then click [Display Unit]. Open the [System Area] tab.

2. Select the device/PLC mapped to the system data area from the [System Area] tab's [System Area Device] list.

3. Designate the start address of the system area in [System Area Start Address] and select the [Enable System Data Area] check box.

4. Select the [Control:(1 Word)] check box.
   

5. In the address defined in the [Control:(1 Word)] field, while bit 5 is OFF and you turn ON bit 1, the contact to sound an external buzzer turns ON. You can then connect and operate an external power supply and a buzzer or revolving light.
   

   

   • If you turn ON bit 1 while bit 5 is ON, the contact to sound an external buzzer does not turn ON.
     Control Word Address: Bit 5 AUX output (0=Enabled, 1=Disabled)
