14.11.3.1 Date/Time Display - Basic

Font

Set a font for the date/time.

Font Type

Choose a font type for the date/time from [Standard Font], [Stroke Font] or [Image Font].

Stroke Font and Standard Font

  • Standard Font

You can specify the vertical and horizontal dimensions of a character in bitmap fonts. When you magnify/shrink characters, the outline may become rough or the letter may appear compressed.

  • Stroke Font

This is an outline font where the ratio of the character height/width is fixed. The letters will have a smooth outline even if you magnify/shrink them. However, this font uses more disk space on the display unit.

Size

Choose a font size for the date/time.

  • Standard Font

(8 to 64) x (8 to 128)

  • Standard Font (Fixed Size)

[6x10], [8x13], [13x23] (Display is single-byte characters only)

  • Stroke Font

Text Attributes

Select the text attributes.

  • Standard Font

Choose from [Standard], [Bold], or [Shadow]. When using the fixed font size [6x10], select either [Standard] or [Shadow].

  • Stroke Font

Choose from [Standard], [Bold], [Outline]

  • This setting is unavailable for [7-segment Display].

Image Font

Window font will be converted to bitmap images and displayed on a display unit.

Select Font

Define the font, and set the [Style], [Size], and [Font Set]. The [Style], [Size], and [Font Set] settings differ depending on the font.

  • You cannot set a proportional font.

  • Characters of the image font used in Data Display [Date/Time Display] will be automatically registered. You can check registered content in the [Image Font] area's [Characters Used] setting.

Date/Time Monitor

Select the device to monitor date/time from [Unit] and [Device/PLC].
Use [Device/PLC] when using a Device/PLC that has a date/time data type.

Unit

Refers to the clock data of a display unit and displays the date/time.

Date

Set whether to display the date, and select the display format from [yy/mm/dd], [dd/mm/yy], [mm/dd/yy], [20yy/mm/dd], [dd/mm/20yy], or [mm/dd/20yy].

  • When working with a double-byte character language and you select a display format that includes the year, month or date, values display in double-byte characters. However, if you select [7-segment Display], those same values display in single-byte characters.

Day of the Week

Select whether to display the day.

Time

Select to display time and choose a display format from [hh:mm] or [hh:mm:ss].
If you select [yy/mm/dd] or [20yy/mm/dd] for [Date], select the time from [hh/mm/ss] or [hh/mm].

  • When working with a double-byte character language and you select a display format that includes hours, minutes, or seconds, values display in double-byte characters. However, if you select [7-segment Display], those same values display in single-byte characters.

Fixed Position

Date/ Select this option to display the numeric value in the center of the part.
You cannot set this if [No Shape] is selected.

7-segment Display

Select this option to show values as a 7-segment display.

  • This cannot be set when [Image Font] is selected.

  • This cannot be set when [Size] is [Fixed Size].

  • This can be set only when [Text Attribute] is selected as [Standard].

Preview

Displays the display image according to the settings.

Device/PLC

Displays the date and time referencing the date/time type address or tag of the Device/PLC.

Date/Time address

Specify the Date/Time Type address or tag.

  • Use the [Numeric Display] function to display the date/time data stored in the word address.

Data Type

Select the Date/Time Type Data Type that you want displayed from [TIME], [DATE], [TIME_OF_DAY], and [DATE_AND_TIME].

Time Item

Select a time item to display.
Displayed when [TIME] is selected at [Data Type].

Date item

Place a checkmark for cases in which the date is displayed, and select the date item to be displayed.
Displayed when the [DATE] and [DATE_AND_TIME] are selected in the [Data Type].

Day of the Week

Place a checkmark for cases in which [Day of the Week] is displayed.
Displayed when the [DATE] and [DATE_AND_TIME] are selected in the [Data Type].

Clock time item

Place a checkmark for cases in which the clock time is displayed, and select the clock time item that you want to display.
Displayed when [TIME_OF_DAY] and [DATE_AND_TIME] are selected in [Data Type].

  • When [TIME_OF_DAY] is selected in [Data Type], the clock time item is displayed at all times.

Format

Select the display format for the items selected in [Time item], [Date item], [Clock time item].

First item digit number

Select the digit number for the item that comes first in the display format. Select the display format at [Format].
Displayed when [TIME] is selected at [Data Type].

Fixed Position

Specify whether the display position for the date/time is fixed in the center of the parts.
You cannot set this if [No Shape] is selected.

Preview

Displays the data image according to the settings.
