Please refer to the following for models that support Ethernet Multilink settings.
1.5 Supported Features
The GP-4104 can be used only as a slave display unit.
Drivers that do not support Ethernet Multilink are as follows. Refer to the Pro-face website for the latest information.

When using the GP-4104 or GP-4114T, the following additional devices do not support connecting multiple display units.
CAN in Automation CANopen Slave
CC-Link Partner Association CC-Link Intelligent Device
CoDeSys Automation Alliance CoDeSys V3 Ethernet
ODVA (Open DeviceNet Vendor Association, Inc.) DeviceNet Slave
PROFIBUS International PROFIBUS DP Slave
Siemens AG TIA Portal Ethernet
YE Digital Corporation MMCloud TCP Client
If the total communication traffic of the connected display unit exceeds the upper limit of the maximum constant communication traffic, the slave that has attempted connection will be refused access. In addition, if the upper limit is exceeded by the master display unit only, slave display units cannot connect.
Create your project considering data traffic.
For the upper limit of data traffic and how to calculate it, refer to the following.
7.6.2 Procedure - How to Calculate the Communication Traffic
Create screens so that the total of continual communication traffic of all screens does not exceed 8090. If the total continuous communication traffic exceeds the upper limit, the slave that has attempted connection will be refused access. In addition, if the upper limit is exceeded by the master display unit only, slave display units cannot connect.
Ensure that the total number of parts addresses and device addresses is 475 or less. Otherwise an excessive load is placed on the Master, which may cause errors and/or access failure.
The Pass-Through feature, Device Monitor feature, and Ladder Monitor feature cannot be used on Slave display units. If you would like to share values obtained using Extended Script on a Master with slaves, select Memory Link for the device/PLC and expand the Extended Script used in the Master display unit with Memory Link so you can share with the slave display units.
Network project files are not loaded on slave display units. Therefore, you cannot use the distribution/collection feature of Pro-Server EX. Also, device address values of PLCs cannot be read with Device Monitor, Symbol Monitor and the Pro-Server EX API. Device address values of internal devices (USR, LS) on the display unit can be read.
Because Slave display units do not directly communicate with the PLC, the display unit cannot read communication error information in system variables or the LS area.
Function processing order may differ from the registration order when using a multi-function switch on a Slave display unit.
Slave display units reference device/PLC connected to the Master display unit, which is the same when using Memory Link. As a result, when using Memory Link the Slave display unit cannot access the following areas to diagnose and control the status of Slave display units.
#MEMLINK 0000 to 0019 (System Data Area)
L#MEMLINK 2032 to 2095 (Special Relay Area)
#MEMLINK 9000 to 9999 (9000 Area)
If you have imported tags for devices/PLCs, you cannot use the Ethernet Multilink feature.
When the Operation Lock is enabled in a display connected with Ethernet Multilink, the other displays will show the IP address of the location of the Operation Lock.
If the display unit for the source Lock has multiple LAN ports as shown below, the IP address of any one of the multiple Ethernet settings is shown. Therefore, other display units may show an IP address different from the actual IP address being communicated with.
When using models with more than one LAN port
When using the EZ LAN Adapter with models that have one LAN port
To check which models support EZ LAN Adapter, refer to the following.
1.5 Supported Features
If you search for a master display unit from a slave display unit, as its search result, the slave display unit displays the IP address of the detected master display unit.
If the master display unit has more than one LAN port, the IP address of one of the multiple Ethernet settings is displayed. Therefore, an IP address different from the actual IP address used to communicate with the slave display unit may be displayed.
Indirect Device Restrictions
Ethernet Multilink communication checks if the device/PLC structure matches between the master and slave display units. If they do not match, communication is not possible. However, indirect device settings do not affect communication, even if the settings do not match between master and slave display units.
The device ID is not synchronized between the master and slave display units. The master display unit and slave display units can have different device IDs.
