WinGP installed using WinGP installer V4.09.300 or later supports execution with user access rights.
If you use a transfer operation or Memory Loader to update the WinGP version from before V4.09.300 to V4.09.300 or later, you cannot execute WinGP with user access rights. Execute using Administrator rights. If you want to execute WinGP with user access rights, reinstall the application with WinGP installer V4.09.300 or later.
If you are using a Windows Embedded machine, you can set the write filter (write protection) on drives installed with the operating system. If the write filter settings are enabled, disable the write filter settings before installing WinGP.
If downloading WinGP to a PC/AT compatible machine, please connect the USB key after installation is complete. If the USB key is connected before installation, the operating system starts the USB driver wizard automatically. If the wizard starts, make sure you cancel and exit the wizard.
For information about errors at installation, the cause of errors and their solution, please refer to the following.
T.6.1 Errors displayed during installation
You must install Pro-Server EX version 1.10 or Pro-Server with Pro-Studio first before you can install WinGP on an iPC or PC/AT compatible machine. You can uninstall the conflicting application, or update Pro-Server EX to version 1.10 or later.
When WinGP is installed on an IPC or PC/AT compatible machine and you install Pro-Server EX (version 1.10 or later), the WinGP SDK is removed. When you want both WinGP and Pro-Server EX (version 1.10 or later) to reside on the same machine, first install Pro-Server EX. When you install WinGP after installing Pro-Server EX, the WinGP SDK is not installed. However, you can use applications that use the WinGP SDK by setting up the network nodes on Pro-Server EX.
If the path has more than 200 single-byte characters in the folder where WinGP is installed, an error will occur when trying to start a simulation and the operation will not function properly. Use a path less than 200 single-byte characters and reinstall WinGP.
You cannot install WinGP more than once, even to another folder.
WinGP does not allow for recovery installation. To recover, uninstall and then reinstall WinGP.
After the installation, restart the IPC before using WinGP. The WinGP will not operate properly without restarting the IPC.
