Table of Contents (0) Version (1) Limitations 1-1 Editor 1-2 Display Unit 1-3 Device/PLC 1-4 WinGP (2) When Serial No. and License Key Code are not input (3) Installation and Uninstallation 3-1 Installation 3-2 Uninstallation (4) User Registration (5) Manuals (6) Installation Guide Contents ================================================================================ (0) Version Editor: Ver.2.60.400 Runtime: Ver.2.60.40 OS Core: Ver.1.1.0(GP4000 Series) Ver.3.3.4 (AGP37**, AGP36**, AGP35**, AGP34**, AGP3310, AGP3360) Ver.3.3.0 (Other than above models) Memory Loader: Ver.2.60.0 WinGP Runtime: Ver.2.60.40 (1) Limitations 1-1 Editor (Editor) - Text may be displayed one-dot away from the specified position in the Edit screen of the Editor when it uses Stroke Font with its font settings set as follows: -Text Attribute: Outline -Text Size: 7 or 8 However, the text is displayed properly on a Display unit. - Turning on/off GP410* Series when it is connected to a PC with a USB transfer cable may cause the PC not to recognize the GP410* Series in rare cases. In that case, run "Scan for hardware changes" in Device Manager. - Data may not be written properly when the data type is set to BCD in the Time Schedule - Mode - Word Write Value settings. Please use Bin as the data type. - The data size may increase when multiple Image parts referencing the same image are placed, and, in the settings of one of those Image parts, "Compress" is selected. To reduce the data size, enable "Compress" in the settings of all the Image parts. - In Graph parts, when Alarm Setting is enabled and Alarm Action is set to Address in the Normal Graph - Color settings, the triangle-shaped marks are displayed beside the graph but do not work properly when Data Type is BCD or Float. Please use Bin as the data type when using the triangle marks. - Input cannot be done in Chinese in rare cases when the Chinese IME is used on a computer in which the .NET Framework 2.0. service pack has not been installed. - The Arc/Pie drawing in the editor and that on the display unit may differ if the difference between the start angle and the end angle is small. Use the Simulation to confirm the behavior on the display unit. - The USB Storage Destination path set up in [Project]-[Information]- [Project Information]-[Destination] in the Editor is not set as default in the Transfer Tool. - When Alarm settings are imported from a CSV file in which symbol arrays are set, the largest array index number of each array symbol is registered as the Count value in the symbol variable settings. If the largest array index value is less than 5, 5 is registered as the Count value. 1-2 Display Unit (Runtime) - If the clock data (year, month, day, hours, and minutes) in the system data area is zero-cleared through a PLC reset, the clock data may not be reset from GP. - Even when image fonts are used in Data Displays (Text Display), it is not possible to display/input characters other than the standard font character codes supported by the specified display language. - Long-time FTP storing (maximum 12 hours) may lead to a storing failure. - When a Text Table has been expanded without Expansion Memory set, an error is displayed after a project transfer and it does not work. However, text using image fonts is displayed in the following features: Text, Switches/Lamps, Keys, Selector Lists, and Message Displays. - When Special Switches for Alarm and Sampling are set up for Global Functions, they do not work. - In the case of a model that do not support Animation, a fixed drawing is displayed behind Switch/Lamp parts with Lamp/Interlock/Delay display feature enabled even if it is placed in front of the Switch/ Lamp parts. - The drawing of a switch is not updated to the In Delay state if the OFF Delay feature of the switch is used with the screen change function and the screen change occurs during the OFF Delay. - When a window is closed by using a switch with OFF Delay feature, touching another switch during the delay causes the tag scan to stop until the touch is released. - Operation of a Special Switch set as a Start Monitor Switch is logged as a Bit Switch in Operation Log. - In the case of logging the Selector List operation, it is logged as the operation of the switch feature set up for the Selector List. - In the Historical Data Display feature, it may take time until the cursor is displayed. - When a Fill Pattern such as Cross Pattern is used, filling in black cannot be done in some cases. To prevent this problem, take the following steps: Select System Settings > Display Unit > Extended Settings > press [Compatibility] and turn on the "Filling in Parts" checkbox. - When multiple Alarms are set to be triggered by the same condition with Alarm Type set to Extended, the display order of the Alarms may change. - In the CF Image Display, when Display Method is set to Specify File Name and Specification Method is set to Address, images may not be displayed because the file name cannot be acquired properly depending on the Text Data Mode. - Reverse display is not performed properly when edit is done in a Sampling Data Display if the font has not been transferred that is set up in the Language setting of the Sampling setting and in the Font Type setting of the Sampling Data Display. - When transfer is performed while the Play switch of the Movie Player is repeatedly pressed, movies selected from the File Manager cannot be played after completion of the transfer. - When Text Data Mode is set to 3 or 6-8 with Address selected for the default path, the path cannot be recognized properly because the data is read from the last part of a specified number of characters. - Data Displays (Input Display) do not support Animation features. - Values being input in a Data Display that is placed on the front layer are not displayed in the Input Display. - Lamps placed on the front layer become invisible when more than the set number of states are input. - Global Window in which Bulletin Messages are set is not displayed if Global Window Operation is set to Indirect with System Data Area set. - Global Window is not displayed if Sub Display Type is set to Window Screens and Window Settings is set to Global in the Text Alarm Sub Display setting with System Data Area set. - Data is saved in CF Card when data saving is performed in Simulation when "Save in" is set to "USB Storage" for Screen Capture in the Display Unit - Mode settings. - When Memory Link Type (#MEMLINK) is the only Device/PLC, certain values (shown below) in the Slave's relay area cannot be acquired. Values other than those can be acquired from the corresponding system variables. - System Data Area (0 to 14) - Special Relay Area (2032 to 2034, 2037, 2039 to 2047, 2054, 2055, 2062 to 2073, 2075 to 2095) - 9000 Area (9000 to 9309, 9311 to 9399, 9528 to 9999) As for a workaround, you can add a device/PLC and allocate the LS device to acquire values from the relay area of the LS device. 1-3 Device/PLC - A screen image showing Control Area 1 in the Device/PLC Connection Manual is partly incorrect. It is designed that Port No. of Control Area 1 cannot be changed in the offline screen. - In the address input dialog, the display of a variable name is not updated until the dialog is closed when you select a worksheet in which the variable is not defined. - If a Derived Data Type/Array name is edited, a data type/array is newly created with the new name. - When no variable data has been defined, creating variable data twice or more times in a row without closing the Individual Device Settings dialog causes the Use Variable Data setting to become disabled. - It takes time to complete the import of a CSV file in which a large amount of variable data is defined. - When a L5K file is imported on a Norwegian OS (Windows XP Pro), an error occurs saying that the format is incorrect. Set the "Standards and formats" setting to "English" in Control Panel Regional Options Tab. - When HA Series is used, the identifier "TM" cannot be used. - When you use the device monitor function, Please do not input the character of 32 or more to the device address. 1-4 Win GP - In printing Thai, characters are printed in proportional fonts and tables (ruled lines) such as of CSV Displays are broken. - In the CSV data transfer, no error occurs even when data is transferred to USB memory with no free space. - The display of folder/file names in FileManager may become invalid when the Default Path feature is used with the root folder ([C:\] etc.) specified in [Destination Folder]-[USB Storage]. Specify a folder other than the root folder when using the Default Path feature. - The floating point arithmetic result in WinGP (Simulation) may be different from that of GP-Pro EX Ver.2.10 or earlier. - Delete the following virtual registry if any previous version of WinGP has ever been installed on the installation target PC whose OS is Windows Vista: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\Machine\SOFTWARE\ Pro-face\Pro-Server EX\ - WinGP can work not only on the target IPCs but also on ordinary PCs and other IPCs. However, depending on the specifications of those PCs and IPCs, the software may operate slowly or the CPU utilization may become high. (2) When Serial No. and License Key Code are not input - Project data cannot be transferred to the operation of graphical touch panels (except GP4100 series, IPCs and PC-ATs (Used WinGP)). - Transfer using the Transfer Tool is not available for WinGP. However, using ProjectCopy, you can copy screen data and get it to work. To use ProjectCopy, click [Start]-[All Programs]-[Pro-face]-[WinGP]- [ProjectCopy] on the Windows desktop screen. However, note that ProjectCopy cannot be used in the following cases: - when system data has not been transferred - when system data has been changed WinGP automatically stops after three hours of continuous operation. * It is possible to input the serial No. and the license key code after installation of the software. Start the product and go to [Help]-[Enter Key Code].
