This is the tool for backup and recovery of CFast card/SD card.
The system can be duplicated by doing recovery after backup.

- Windows® Embedded Standard 7 (SP5000 Series)

Requirements

- PC(for backup and recovery) or SP-5B40/SP-5B41 that fulfills the condition of "System Environment".
- CFast card/SD card that are supported by SP5000 Series.
- Card Reader for CFast card/SD card.

Restrictions

- In order to use this tool, Administrator authorization is required.
- Do not access the CFast card/SD card using the measure such as Explorer during backup and recovery.
- Can not use a SD card slot of notebook computer.
- Do not back CFast card of SP5000 Series up in the state of using Hibernation/HORM.
- Can not use any CFast card/SD card except SP5000 Series ones.
- When using with Windows® 10, the application may become no response for about 1 minute during drive search. Please do not operate until the application operates normally.

Note

Backup and recovery execute with the fixed size of our specification.
Drive that Windows recognizes is possible to display in the drive list even if it is not our CFast card/SD card, but do not use any CFast card/SD card except our ones, because it results in a damaged drive.

Please configure "Regional and Language Options" by only one language.
*There is possibility that can not display as normal in the case of multiple language configuration.

Startup

Double-clicking on the SP5000BackupRecovery icon displays "Startup Window".
Please select "CFast Card" or "SD Card".
*Next window is "Warning Window" when "CFast Card" is selected.

Step Description
1 Insert drive into PC or SP-5B40/SP-5B41.
2 Start SP5000BackupRecovery up.
3 Select "CFast Card" or "SD Card".
4 Select a drive for backup from "Drive Letter".
5 Click "Reference Button" and select a file for backup.
Can also drag and drop a file for overwrite into the window.
6 Select whether to enable "Compress" and "Verify" or not.
7 Execute backup.
8 When backup is completed, "Backup Complete Window" is displayed.
9 Quit the application, and eject the drive from the PC.

Q1.How should I make the application recognize a drive if I insert a drive after it is started up?


A1. Click "Update Button". Then, drive information will be updated.

A2. "Confirmation Window for Backup Stop" is displayed.
When the backup is stopped, the temporary file that is being backed up is deleted.

If recovery is stopped, the drive does not operate as normal.
In order to operate it as normal, you need to complete recovery again.

A5. C drive is not applicable to backup and recovery.
Current drive that SP5000BackupRecovery is started up is either.
Example: USB memory is not applicable if SP5000BackupRecovery is started up on this USB memory.

A6. No, you can't.
You can only use our CFast card/SD card.

Q7.What should I do if an error occurs during backup or recovery?


A7. Quit SP5000BackupRecovery. Then, reinsert the drive and restart it.
If an error occurs again, the drive may be damaged.
In this case, change the drive.

A8. Can not specify only file name.
Please also specify a drive name.

Q9.What should I do if recovery fails?


A9. Causes that can be considered are as follows.
1. The drive is read only.
2. The drive is unallocated and is formatted as file system.

In the case of 1, change the state of drive to writable by a specified way.
In the case of 2, re-execute it from "Drive Letter" after allocate "Drive Letter" or delete volume.

However, we do not guarantee to run on the environment.

Start "Computer Management" in Administrative Tools for Control Panel up, select "Disk Management", execute "Rescan Disks" in "Action" menu.
