Q. What is WEB-RasCal?
A. WEB-RasCal is a new type of Home Page software, that allows the synchronizing of pre-made text and video.


Q. What PC system configuration is required for WEB-RasCal?
A. Internet Explorer and RealNetworks RealPlayer are required. See the "Environment Required to Run WEB-RasCal "section for details.


Q. Can I view the On-line Presentation using Netscape Navigator?
A. It is possible to view the On-line Presentation using Netscape Navigator, however we cannot guarantee the software will operate correctly. Internet Explorer is recommended.


Q. Will WEB-RasCal run on an OS other than Windows?
A. WEB-RasCal runs only on a PC with Windows.


Q. The WEB-RasCal window doesn't fit inside the screen
A. WEB-RasCal is designed to display at SVGA (800 x 600 pixels) resolution. Please use a monitor with this resolution or higher.


Q. Can I stop viewing or pause temporarily?
A. Use the RealPlayer Play, Stop and Pause buttons on the bottom of the screen to pause or stop the animation. You can also close the WEB-RasCal window to stop the presentation.


Q. The video sometimes freezes.
A. WEB-RasCal requires a communication speed of 56 Kbps or higher. Please be sure that your modem supports this speed.

Q. The message "An error has occurred." appears and the video will not play.
A. RealPlayer utilizes video streaming. Therefore, for security reasons, you may not be able to utilize this system on your company's LAN. However, changing your RealPlayer proxy settings may allow you to use it. (refer to "How to Set the Proxy" below). Contact your system administrator for details.

How to Change Your Proxy Settings (for a company LAN)
1.Start RealPlayer.
2.Select [Preferences] from the [Options] menu and click the [Proxy] tab.
3.Click the [Manually Configure HTTP Proxy] option button.
4.Enter the proxy server address and port number used by your company into the [Proxy Server] and [Port] setting boxes, respectively.


Q. The text does not change in sync with the video.
A. Text that is automatically linked to video may not display correctly depending on RealPlayer's settings. Please refer to "How to Synchronize Video and Text" below and then confirm that RealPlayer's Preference area settings are correct.

How to Synchronize Video and Text
1.Start RealPlayer.
2.Select [Preferences] from the [Options] menu and click the [Content] tab.
3.Click to check the [Enable Automatic Links] check box in the [Web Browser] area.
4.Select "Internet Explorer" from the [Preferred Web Browser] pull-down menu.
5.Click [OK] in the [Start Center] dialog box.
