Press Release
November 5 , 2007
The release of the CC-Link unit for programmable display.
Requires only installation onto display & connection
to the CC-Link network.
Brief
The major manufacture*1 in touch-screen operator terminal, Pro-face is pleased to announce the CC-Link unit which was released on the 1st of November. The CC-Link unit can be installed onto the GP Series.
The communication network which connects between PLC and a number of I/O equipment such as solenoid valve, bar-code, temperature controller and robot in the manufacturing field, is called "Filed network".
There are a variety of field networks around the world.
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation created the CC-Link in 1996. Afterwards, the specification was released by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in 2000 and thus become an open network. The Management of the standard and growth activity is currently performed by the CC-Link partner association (CLPA). As of May 2006, there are 747 existing units of connection equipment*2 prevalent in Asia (mainly Japan). Pro-face is also the managing agent for the CLPA.
The specific manufacturer for programmable display, Pro-face supports the connection with fieldbus network. These include connections such as PROFIBUS/DP which is prevalent in Europe, and the Device Net which is prevalent in North America as well as supporting the CC-Link.
We provide display solutions which enable connection with any field network in the world in any kind of environment.

Features
Supported CC-Link Ver.2.0
A large capacity for data sending and receiving has been enabled in order to support the latest CC-Link Ver.2.0. The previous equipment, which was supported by the CC-Link Ver.1.1, was made compatible by changing our software setting.
Ease of installation
It is possible to connect to the CC-Link equipment if installing the CC-Link unit onto the rear of the programmable display, GP3000 series.
The CC-Link function executes at a high-performance level with the GP Series.
- The cyclic transient features stable communication, which constantly communicates with the CC-Link on the same network line. All remote input-output and remote registers, which are allocated in the master station, can be monitored via the cyclic transient function.
- The transient transmission features flexible communication (standalone-stations to communicate with others one-to-one). The Master station and a number of PLC slave stations can operate device access via the transient transmission function.
