Brief

PL-3000B (Box type)

Pro-face has released the PL-3000B (Box type) for the industrial computer, which has achieved high-speed processing via the CPU Core-Duo 2.0GHz. Moreover the Hot-Swap^*1 function can be used via the Mirroring Software and allows continuous operation on industrial sites. This product is only sold as a BTO (Built-to order) product.

The new products consist of 4 models in total, including 2 types of CPU (Core-Duo 2.0GHz & Celeron^® M440 1.86GHz) and 2 types of expansion slot (4 & 2 slots).

The 2 HDD can be saved simultaneously via the Mirroring Software. While changing the HDD, devices can be continuously operated due to the corresponding Hot-Swap^*1.

The BOX type for the industrial computer demands intensive equipment due to the enlargement of the control and the increase of the monitoring instrument in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment and FPD-related device field. The burden of data processing is increasing and the field requires a variety of data processing at high-speed. We offer a CPU Core-Duo 2.0GHz, which supplies this high-speed processing.

Until now two or more terminals were required. The PL3000B offers 2 and 4 expansion slots and therefore enables integration of those terminals into one unit. The 2 Ethernet and USB slots as well as the 4 serial slots improve the expandability. This box type for the industrial computer offers high-speed processing and expandability.

On top of this, the screen, which is created for the GP Series (a new concept in graphic operation interfaces) can operate using the HMI Runtime software “WinGP” under the Windows OS. This means that you don't need to recreate the screen data and thus reduces the operation time. It is easy to connect the PL3000B with any manufactured PLC without the requirement of a program due to the GP-Pro EX communication drivers (standard specification).

*1 Devices and cables can be replaced whilst operating. Equipment such as a hard disk can be multiplexed with the Hot-Swap which enables replacement of devices without system stoppage (large computer systems).

Features

High-speed & plural processing which meet customer requirements.

The high speed-performance, Dual Core CPU Core-Duo 2.0GHz (manufactured by Intel) produces high performance and reliability. A maximum 2 GB memory is also available.

The production line can be continuously operated

The data can be saved by the mirroring of the Hard Disk Drive using the mirroring. Therefore, should a HDD be broken, the operation can still be carried out with the other HDD. On top of this, these main units have incorporated the Hot-Swap function and therefore the production line doesn't need to be temporarily paused whilst changing a HDD.

The RAS function can prevent the occurrence of failures.

The RAS function is the name for the machinery monitoring function, which improves system reliability. This monitor function can prevent the occurrence of failures. Moreover, abnormal detection signals can be indicated through Lamp & Buzzer via specific I/F RAS port.
