PS-3451A Slim type

Pro-face has released 2 models of 8.4-inch panel computers on the 2nd of July; one is a slim compact sized type PS-3451A and the other, a type with one PCI expansion slot PS-3450A.

Each model has two CF card slots as standard, so it is possible to insert 2 CF cards at the same time - one with built-in OS (Windows XP Embedded) and application, and the other for data writing. This specification is perfect for diskless environment. With HDD (hard disk drive) can also be selected. On top of this, PS-3451A is a fan-less type, which can be used in a clean room.
By using WinGP, a runtime engine for panel computer, it is possible to reuse the GP screen data created by GP-Pro EX for our New Concept Programmable Operator Interface GP Series. This means that you don't need to newly create screen data from scratch and can reduce creation time.
Moreover, as communication drivers to connect with a variety of controllers are included in GP-Pro EX, it is possible to easily connect with any PLC manufactured by any maker you are using with no program required.
Not only the functions above, collaboration with Windows applications or connection to upper-level networks such as MES^*1 can also be flexibly developed. This new model will meet a variety of demands for asset utilization, creation time reduction and improved device features.

Pro-face is a leading manufacturer^*2 in Panel Computer and Graphic Operator Interfaces industries. Now the 8.4-inch model has been added to our Panel Computer line-up, customers who want to use Windows application assets with an instrument for analysis and inspection or a control board of small device can utilize this new model. There is now a wide selection for display available, as well as an expanded range for system architecture.

This new product corresponds to the RoHS Directive-conforming (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances). The main unit is made of Aluminum die-casting, which has good heat conductance. So, heat radiation performance is high and the product is recyclable. This product is designed environmentally friendly.

Supports Screen Editor "GP-Pro EX"

GP-Pro EX is supported as a screen editor for panel computer. By using it with WinGP software, it is possible to reuse the screen data of Graphic Operator Interface, which enables the image creation time to be drastically reduced. Moreover, as a variety of communication drivers are available as standard, it is possible to easily connect with various devices such as PLC.

2 serial ports, 2 Ethernet ports and 4 USB interfaces are available. HDD or HDD-less can be selected. Also, 2 slots of CF card interfaces are equipped as standard, it is possible to insert 2 CF cards at the same time – one for OS & application and the other for data writing.

User-friendly touch panel operation

Without using mouse or keyboard, input and device operations are easily performed by touch panel operation. Operations such as Drag & Drop can also be performed with the mouse emulation function.
