Brief

Pro-face has released 15-inch XGA touch-panel computers, PS-3710A and PS-3711A, featuring high-speed Dual Ethernets that ease the network traffic jam. They also have a variety of interfaces and excel in environmental resistance.

The new models, replacing RS-3700A/3701A, have Intel CPU as standard and support up to 2GB of DDR memory, as well as having various interfaces that meet the needs of the age.

On the front panel where a high-quality analog resistive touch screen is equipped, a security-conscious USB 2.0 port is situated, and on the side face, floppy disk and DVD-ROM drives are located. These easy-to-access interfaces can be utilized for data maintenance at the production floor.

In order to solve the problem of complicated networking in the manufacturing field, Dual Ethernets have been added in response to the customer needs. Thanks to the interface, overall management of device data and redundant paths of network can be set up smoothly. Also, logging of I/O information from devices such as PLC, sending I/O information of the board to host PC, and delivering camera images and sound information via the Internet become possible.

PS-3710A/3711A are supported by our screen editor "GP-Pro EX". The software not only enables the time-consuming processes of image creation to be vastly reduced, but also enables easy connection with a wide variety of devices with communication drivers the software includes as standard.

Features

High specifications with Industrial Personal Computer

Intel CPU(PS-3710A: Pentium M 1.6GHz/PS-3711A:ULV Celeron M 600MHz) is used as standard, and up to 2GB of DDR Memory can be built-in. The Industrial Personal Computer becomes more sophisticated with the high specifications.

Dual Ethernets ease network traffic jam

Each model has two Ethernet ports (auto switching between 10BASE-T/ 100BASE-TX/ 1000BASE-T, auto switching between 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX) as standard, which ensure accurate error-free communication for both upper and lower networks of different communication speed.

Windows XP Embedded supported (with CF card, no hard disk required)

Due to the diskless architecture, there is no hard disk malfunctions or careless data operation caused by vibration or impact. As standard components are included, there is no need for customization.

Front-facing USB interface with security-conscious design adopted

Front USB allows easy data handling without requirement of opening a rear panel to gain access to USB port, and eases the use of USB devices in the manufacturing field. Moreover, these new models adopt security-conscious design, which enables to make the front-facing USB unusable using DIP-switch.

Screen Editor "GP-Pro EX" supported

The screen editor, GP-Pro EX, includes various communication drivers as standard so that it enables connections to a wide variety of devices such as PLC, as well as reduces the time-consuming processes of screen creation.

Stable long-term supply

The parts used are designed for built-in use, and ensure a long-term stable supply compared to those used in PC for Office Automation.

RoHS Directive-conforming

The new models are also compliant with Chinese RoHS Directive, as well as being designed environmentally friendly throughout the world.

BTO (Build to Order) Method

In response to the customer needs, a variety of combinations are available.
