The current line-up of the GP3000 series was released in September last year. Pro-face has now expanded the line-up and categorizes it into 3 classes: M ( Multimedia ) class which enables recording/playback of video pictures ( the first in the industry ), C ( Control ) class which enables sub-control of PLC by expanding I/O units, and S ( Standard ) class which has new functions in addition to the specifications of the current models. We offer 50 models in total, which is the world’s broadest line-up. |

In response to the challenges of “ improvement on operating rate ” and “ cost reduction ” which many companies now face with, Pro-face believes that to build a structure of “ Visualization ” and to offer an environment where necessary information can be obtained accurately and timely will be the solutions required for Programmable Operator Interface. And thus “ The New Concept Programmable Operator Interface GP3000 series ” was released last September.
GP3000 series has been acquiring a favorable reputation from many customers, not just as an operation terminal for facilities or equipment but also as HMI ( Human Machine Interface ), which plays a role of information device important for realization of “ Visualization ”.
In order to meet new needs from the market, Pro-face now releases new models with pursued affinity – flexible to everything from human to equipments/facilities. Expanding the current line-up of GP3000 series into 50 models in total, the line-up is comprised of 3 classes: M class featuring multimedia functions ( the first in the industry ) that realizes one step ahead “ Visualization of sites ”, C class featuring control functions that enables “ Visualization of the connected devices ” centering on Programmable Operator Interface, and S class which has new high spec performance in addition to the specifications of current GP3000 series. The new advent will be the world’s broadest, line of all 3 classes, 50 models.
Our “ New Concept Programmable Operator Interface GP3000 series ” will keep evolving to offer a variety of solutions in each phase of – “ design ”, “ introduction ”, “ operation ” and “ maintenance ”. |

| Recording/playback of video pictures are available on the Programmable Operator Interface. Video and audio can be utilized on site and offices, which realizes one-step further “ Visualization of the sites ”. |

The industry’s first “ multimedia function ” is the function that enables recording and playback of video pictures on the Programmable Operator Interface.
Event Recorder function ( recording function ) defines data to be monitored. When a change is detected with predefined data, 60 seconds before and after the occurrence ( max. 120 sec ) can be recorded and saved automatically. Error occurrence event can be confirmed with video pictures, which enables early countermeasure to be taken. Verifying cause of error occurrence is also possible which helps improvement of site.
With Playback function, prepared movie pictures can be played on the Programmable Operator Interface and can be utilized to operating manual or procedure manual. When an on-site worker needs to do maintenance on device due to urgent trouble, he can playback and refer to the manual with movie pictures. Even in the case of complicated assembly works such as cell production system, this function will support the environment where an operator can work smoothly. |

Control functions enables easy expansion of a variety of I/O devices such as switches, lamps and motors. The C class is suitable for sub-control over the existing system, and will realize “ Visualization of the devices ” centering on Programmable Operator Interface. |

Most systems found in factory consist of Programmable Operator Interface together with PLC, and it is difficult to change a system when you need to do expansion involving in line changes.
In addition, many customers are facing problems such as below:
“ It is necessary to change the ladder program of PLC, but nobody but the programmer has the knowledge. ”
“ We cannot place further burden on the CPU processor of PLC. ”
“ Multiple cables are used for connection between I/O devices and PLC leading to complex wiring. ”
Responding to such situation and problems, Pro-face offers the new control-featured models.
There are two types in the C ( Control ) class depending on I/O connection method: DIO type ( sink type / source type ) connectable directly to various components such as switches and lamps, and FLEX NETWORK type which realizes control over extensive area as well as less-wiring and space-saving.
Furthermore, “ Logic Monitoring Function ” which allows operation check of logic program on Programmable Operator Interface is added, leading to convenience in situation judgment when trouble occurs and maintenance.
Moreover, the screen editor “ GP-Pro EX ” has been upgraded to Ver. 1.10. Now screen creation and logic programming can be done with single software, so development man-hours can be reduced.
