Pro-face has released a FA panel computer with Intel^® Pentium^® M processor 1.6GHz - the fastest CPU in the industry, PL-6930T/7930T Series (4 models, 8 types).

We started to release the Industrial Personal Computer in 1991, which was designed in consideration of environmental resistance and small footprint, strong against vibration of machines, dust and oil mist, in order to make a PC suitable for use in production site. The specifications and technology of the FA panel computers have been improved with the fast-growing PC industry, and customers have come to ask for sophisticated features such as high information processing speed and expandability. This new panel computer meets such requirements by upgrading the information processing speed, responding to feature expansion, preventive maintenance against trouble, and user-friendliness brought about by repair and maintenance. Furthermore, from an environmental point of view, PL-6930T/7930T complies with the RoHS*1 directive as requirements of eliminating harmful substances have been increased.

*1 The RoHS directive restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The substances identified as hazardous are Pb (lead), Cd (cadmium), Cr6+ (hexavalent chromium), Hg (mercury), PBB (polybrominated biphenyls) and PBDE (polybrominated diphenyl ethers), a total of 6 materials.

We are planning to supply the product mainly for machineries that require operation and control such as semiconductor manufacturing equipments, machine tools and inspection equipments. We are also ready to provide it for use in a wide range of fields, including instrumentation and control system equipment for a big plant such as power plant or chemical factory, and built-in to building central monitoring system.

The new panel computer has an Intel^® Pentium^® M processor 1.6GHz, the industry’s leading high-speed processor, which offers comfortable operation.

2. Hard disk easily changeable for maintenance
The cartridge disk system allows simple and easy replacement of hard disk drive, CF card unit and floppy disk drive.  The time to replace drives can be dramatically shortened so that you can minimize the time to stop your system.

3. A wide range of interfaces and expandability

*USB interface is available at the front of the unit.

*A variety of peripherals can be connected.

4. Notification when a system error or failure occurs
The RAS function can prevent the occurrence of system malfunctions and failures. The System Monitor detects an error and notices the error occurrence on the screen. Also with new Remote RAS function, you can monitor conditions of multiple PLCs from a remote place such as an administrative room by using a Data Management Software “Pro-Server EX”.

Windows^® XP and Windows^® 2000 are pre-installed onto hard disk as an option.
