Important Notification for Users of GP-Pro EX V2.2x with Animation setting

We would like to express our appreciation for using Pro-face products.
We have confirmed that the following symptom occurs in GP-Pro EX.
The defect symptom and the corrective measures for this problem are indicated below.
We really apologize for causing you so much inconvenience.

Symptom description

Under the condition that the "Image font" and "Animation" are simultaneously set with "Text" data in the applicable software version listed below, and also when "Change Device/PLC", "Add or Delete Devices/PLCs", or "Address Block Conversion" is performed, the text data may get corrupted.
Saving the project file after an error message of "The data could not be read." has appeared upon its opening may cause lost of the text data and other screen data, which has been edited after the text data.

Please carefully read "Measures" below and update your GP-Pro EX. After updating it, please check your screen data with the occurance conditions listed beow, according to "Verification after update" below.

Applicable version

GP-Pro EX Ver. 2.20.000 to 2.22.000

Occurrence condition

The symptom occurs when all the following conditions are met.
(The symptom will not occur under the conditions other than below.)

The edited software is Ver. 2.20.000 to 2.22.000.
The font of the text is set to "Image font".
"Animation" is set in the text.
"Change Device/PLC", Add or Delete Devices/PLCs" or "Address Block Conversion" is executed.

Measures

Upgrading the applicable software to Ver. 2.22.100 is needed to prevent the symptom from occurring in the subsequent editing process.

Verification after update

IMPORTANT

If you use GP-Pro EX V2.2x (Ver. 2.20.000 to Ver. 2.22.000) under the condition mentioned in "Occurrence condition", there is a possibility that the text data has already changed before updating the version.
Therefore, it is necessary to open screen data or project data to check whether the unit displays normally after the update.
(Please also check the data after updating GP-Pro EX from V2.2x (Ver. 2.20.000 or Ver. 2.22.000) to 2.5x (Ver. 2.50.000).

If the error message of "The data could not be read." appears, upon opening a screen project file, it means that the text data has been already altered. In this case, please do not “Save the project” but just exit the program.
Saving the project may change the text data or clear other screen data created after the text was registered. Therefore, please contact our technical support hotline without doing "Save the project"
