Notification regarding additional instructions on corresponding to Chinese version of RoHS

Regarding the title above, we will proceed as described below. Thank you for your understanding in advance.

Background

Chinese version of RoHS will be put in effect in March in 2007. Following that, as for our products that are globally sold, we will gradually change their instructions in order to correspond to the Chinese version of RoHS.
The change made this time is addition of instructions and therefore, this change does not affect quality and change dimensions. According to the Chinese version of RoHS, there’s an interpretation like incorporated products that are not sold in shops generally are not applicable to the directive. However, because of aggressive sales of our products to China and active support for the directive, we will disclose information on harmful substances contained in our products, which the Chinese version of RoHS requests.

Details of change

We will add an instruction sheet (Size A6) concerning whether the specified 6 substances are contained or not.

Implementation Time

Products that have been manufactured since March in 2007 will correspond to the Chinese version of RoHS gradually.

* Specific implementation time varies depending on a model. To have the device a customer mounts correspond to the Chinese version of RoHS directive, please contact us about the implementation time for that product before use.
